With the inventory count app, each count team scans item barcodes or QR codes on a phone and enters the quantity. Every team's count lands in one place immediately and is matched against book stock. When a difference is large, the app asks for a recount. At the end you get item-wise and class-wise variance reports and a draft adjustment journal.
With paper counts, the real time goes afterwards: typing up the sheets, matching units, comparing with the books. By then stock movement has restarted, so even a large difference can no longer be recounted. Our team saw exactly this at a textile mill's year-end count. The app grew from that.
We configure the app for each company's item list, warehouses and count rules. A public live demo is still being built; before your year-end count we can demo it with your own item list.
What the app does on count day
- The book stock list is loaded before the count (Excel/CSV or from your ERP), along with zones and teams
- Each team scans the items in its zone and enters quantities; without barcodes they pick from the list
- The app warns when the same item is counted twice or units do not match
- Supervisors see live what percentage of each zone is done and where the big differences are
- Items over the tolerance go to a recount list and a different team counts them
- When the count closes, the final variance report and draft adjustments are produced

Cycle counts all year
The same app can count a set of items every month (cycle counting) on top of the year-end count. That reduces the risk of big year-end differences and shows the auditor that stock was controlled all year. Re-order level alerts can be added too; their absence is a finding we have seen in several audits.
Pricing and set-up
The first time, the app is usually used with our year-end count service: our team counts with your stores staff using the app. From the next year your team runs it on an annual licence. Pricing depends on items, warehouses and users.
Frequently asked questions
Our items have no barcodes. Will it still work?
Yes. Items can be searched from the list or entered by code. We can also print QR labels for bins and racks so they can be scanned next year.
How many teams can count at once?
As many as you need. Each team logs in on its own phone and all counts land in one place.
How is WIP counted?
WIP can be listed by stage, for example cutting, sewing, finishing. Management sets the percentage of completion for each stage before the count.
