Final accounts and audit report for sole proprietorships

You have bank statements and notebooks but no balance sheet? A complete file for the bank, the tender or the tax return.

Quick answer

For sole proprietorship businesses we prepare the year's balance sheet, income statement, fixed asset schedule and notes from your notebooks, bank statements and invoices. If a bank or tender needs one, our partner CA firm provides the audit report. Photos of documents are enough, so businesses outside Dhaka can use the service easily.

Our team has prepared balance sheets, income statements, fixed asset schedules, notes and audit reports for proprietorships such as a sand and stone supplier in the Sylhet region and a trading business. These businesses rarely keep full books; they keep bank statements and handwritten records.

Keep the owner's money and the business's money apart

The biggest problem in proprietorships is that personal and business transactions run through the same account. Every deposit and payment in the bank statement then has to be sorted: which is a sale, which is the owner's own money, which is household spending (drawings). We do this sorting with the owner. From next year we suggest a separate business account, which halves the work.

Frequently asked questions

Is an audit legally required for a proprietorship?

Usually not. But banks, tenders and large buyers often ask for one. Tell us who it is for and we will say whether an audit is needed.

I have no books, only bank statements.

We can still start. We analyse the bank transactions and talk with you to rebuild income and expenses. You need to give us year-end stock and receivable/payable lists.

Can several years be done together?

Yes. Banks often want two or three years. Each year is prepared separately.

What will it cost?

It depends on the number of transactions, the number of years and whether an audit is needed. We quote in writing after seeing sample documents.
